Donegal College of Further Education and Training, managed by Donegal ETB, is proud to play a key role in the North West Digital Employment Pathways Training Hub (NW DEPTH) which is a PEACEPLUS‑supported initiative designed to expand digital and cybersecurity skills across the North West region.
Through NW DEPTH, we are delivering a suite of fully funded digital skills courses that open new opportunities for learners of all backgrounds. These programmes are designed to support upskilling, reskilling, and progression into high‑demand digital careers.

Our Role in NW DEPTH
In partnership with Atlantic Technological University, Ulster University, North West Regional College we are delivering high‑quality digital learning opportunities as part of the North West Tertiary Education Cluster (NWTEC).
Across Donegal, Donegal College is offering a range of dedicated NW DEPTH programmes:
- NW DEPTH – Certificate in Social Media for Digital Marketing
- NW DEPTH – Diploma for IT Users
- NW DEPTH – Information Technology Fundamentals
- NW DEPTH – CompTIA Security +
These courses are structured to support beginners with basics, career changers to expand their digital skills, and those already in employment seeking to enhance their digital capabilities.

- Provides flexible learning options, with courses partially delivered online to support those balancing work and study
- Covers digital skills from introductory to advanced levels
- Offers guidance on course selection, RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning), progression routes, and technical support
- Engages expertise from tertiary education partners and industry specialists
About NW DEPTH
Running until June 2029, NW DEPTH represents a €9.9 million investment in digital transformation for the North West cross‑border region. Over 2,000 learners will benefit from high‑quality upskilling and reskilling opportunities in:
- Includes short, stackable qualifications and industry‑aligned courses
- Provides flexible learning options, with courses partially delivered online to support those balancing work and study
- Covers digital skills from introductory to advanced levels
- Offers guidance on course selection, RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning), progression routes, and technical support
- Engages expertise from tertiary education partners and industry specialists
This collaborative project strengthens cross‑border education, reduces duplication across institutions, and creates a united approach to addressing digital skills shortages.
