The Adult Guidance and Information Service provides impartial, confidential advice and counselling on educational options, including choices within Donegal College and with other education providers. The service aims to support you in making the right decisions about returning to education and training. We help you find the right educational path that suits your life.

Choosing to return to education as an adult offers new life choices as well as educational options. With so many courses available, it can be hard to know which is the right one for you.

The Adult Guidance and Information Service can help you

identify your skills, interests, and goals in life
explore your education and training options to help you work towards what it is you want to do
recognise and address issues that may be holding you back
find the support you need to achieve your goals

We do this by providing:

free, impartial and confidential guidance in a respectful and welcoming
environment
information on courses, training and funding from local, national and international education and training providers
interest, personality and career assessments
one-to-one guidance sessions with a guidance counsellor by appointment
access and signposting to a network of training, welfare and personal support organisations to support your progression

Who can use this service?

Adults (over 18 years of age) who are considering further education and training and undergraduate study
People who want to develop new skills to improve their job prospects or develop a new career
