Apprenticeship is a structured training programme that combines on-the-job learning with classroom-based education. It prepares participants for specific careers and leads to nationally recognised qualifications from Level 5 to Level 10 on the National Framework of Qualifications.

Take Part in Apprenticeship Training

Apprenticeship Programmes typically provide at least 50% work-based learning.

Employed Full-time

Funding available to contribute to tutor fees, required materials, venue overheads and administrative costs.

Earn As You Learn

Apprentices earn while they learn and build valuable work-ready skills in a chosen occupation.

Qualification

Apprenticeships lead to a qualification recognised on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) from Level 5 – Level 10.

There are currently over seventy apprenticeship programmes available across sixteen fields of learning.

Salary

The apprentice is paid for the duration of the apprenticeship.

Training

Training is a dual system, which is a blended combination of on-the-job employer-based training and off-the-job training.

Grants

Depending on the apprenticeship, a Gender-based Bursary and/or Employer Grant may be available.

Guidance

Senior Training Advisors are available to provide support and guidance throughout the duration of the programme for apprentices and employers.
